CAVE PERCY'S MKI ESCORT
BODY
MK I Escort 2 door fitted with “forest” rally flares. Rear shock turrets fitted; 4 link boxes fabricated in-house by Les Hunter Racing Products and fitted. Rest of body is basically stock. Bolt in roll cage fabricated and fitted by Les Hunter Racing Products to comply with MSNZ homologation rules.
SUSPENSION
Front Suspension – Capri legs; Les Hunter Racing Products adjustable spring sets; Les Hunter Racing Products adjustable strut mounting plates. KYB inserts, double adjustable bottom arms.
Rear Suspension – Factory leaf springs to be re-rated; ;4 link axle location.
RUNNING GEAR
Engine – 2 litre single overhead cam Ford engine, mildly modified to approx. 180 horsepower, side draught Webbers, headers etc.
Transmission – 4 speed Cortina type box
Diff – Capri with various diff ratios to suit application and LSD unit.
BRAKES
Front
283 x 22 mm vented rotors adapted to Capri hubs and Wilwood 4 pot calipers – adapted in-house by Les Hunter Racing Products
Rear
At this stage factory drums to be retained.
Pedals
MK I pedal modified for twin master cylinders and adjustable balance bar for under-dash mounting done in house by Les Hunter Racing Products.
WHEELS & TIRES
